Thigh and Buttock Lift

Thigh Butt Lifts MontrealThigh, hip and buttock lifting are surgical procedures performed to tighten the skin of the outer thighs, buttocks and hips. The operation removes areas of excess skin and fat from the upper buttock and flank area or the medial thigh (between the upper thigh) regions. The remaining skin and soft tissues are recontounred to achieve a tightening and smoothing effect. These procedures are designed to help patients following massive weight loss resulting in loose, flabby skin.

The patient's concerns are carefully addressed and a history and physical examination are performed. The operation generally lasts from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. The procedure is very individualized and often includes liposuction to achieve the desired results. Scars vary in position and length in order to achieve the specific desires of each patient. A compression garment is worn postoperatively for 4 to 6 weeks. Pain is mild to moderate in nature and usually well controlled with oral medication. Patients are generally asked to rest for 2 to 3 weeks before resuming normal activities.

Generally, thigh or buttock lifting are very safe and reliable procedures. During your office consultation, Dr. Zelt will discuss with you the associated risks and complications. Fortunately, most are very uncommon and the vast majority of patients enjoy an uneventful surgery and recovery period.
